Restaurant Yuu , a Michelin-starred French restaurant in Greenpoint, is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sommelier to join our service team.
Our restaurant is located in front of McCarren Park, offering refined French cuisine in a setting filled with natural scenery and abundant sunlight.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing wine, champagne, sake, and non-alcohol drinks service including pairing recommendations and table-side presentation.
Maintaining and updating the wine list, managing the cellar, and overseeing inventory control.
Conducting staff training on wine and beverage knowledge.
Collaborating closely with the culinary and service teams to elevate the guest experience.
Upholding service excellence consistent with Michelin-level hospitality standards.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sommelier or wine professional in a fine dining or Michelin-starred restaurant.
Fluent English communication skills (native-level proficiency preferred).
Extensive knowledge of wine, sake, and food pairing.
Certification (CMS, WSET, or equivalent) preferred.
Self-motivated, with a passion for continuous learning and hospitality excellence.
Team-oriented, respectful, and professional demeanor under pressure.
Hourly Rate : $25–$35 (based on experience, plus tips).
Schedule : Tuesday through Saturday , excluding restaurant holidays and designated closure days.
References : Final candidates must provide at least two professional references. Reference checks will be conducted with the candidate’s consent.
