Description and Requirements The Data Annotator position engages in diverse projects involving data annotation and is responsible for labeling and categorizing content on a leading short-form video streaming platform. This role is crucial in training the platform's AI algorithms by identifying and classifying specific content through a web-based interface, thereby enhancing the accuracy of content moderation and recommendation systems. Data Annotators in this position will encounter a range of data centered around topics that may be inappropriate, disturbing, or potentially unsafe. Strong emotional resilience, effective coping strategies, and robust stress management skills are essential for this role.
Note: This position is not a remote/work-from-home position. All team members are expected to report to our onsite facility located at 2251 S Decatur Blvd, Las Vegas, NV for all working hours, including the training period.
Specific Responsibilities May Include:
- Engage in diverse projects involving data annotation, analysis, and identification of content repository samples, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high recall rates while adhering to predefined guidelines
- Implement and maintain data classification and taxonomy standards, demonstrating a thorough understanding of business objectives while collaborating effectively with the data team
- Assist the AI team in enhancing algorithm recognition and machine learning capabilities by analyzing recommended data labels, providing substantiated suggestions for annotation/labeling, and contributing to discussions on algorithm model improvements
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business landscape, examine data samples across various business segments, and refine the classification standards for data labels and sample databases
- Enhance data annotation workflows, optimize label sampling and review processes, and boost the efficiency of both manual and automated annotation standards
Required Experience, Skills & Competencies:
- Fundamental computer proficiency with strong data entry capabilities

- Experience in content or community moderation is a plus
- Professionalism and ability to work with diverse personalities and uphold high integrity standards, adhering to all privacy and confidentiality requirements
- Flexibility to work a 40 hr work week during any day/any shift as needed within the program's hours of operation: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm | Monday - Friday (subject to change based on business needs)
- High school diploma or equivalent
