Position Summary: Sunshine Enterprise USA is proud to represent a leading player in the asphalt and concrete construction industry in Central Florida currently seeking a Skid Steer Operator to support a concrete contrition team. The
Skid Steer Operator will work on commercial, DOT, and residential projects including curb, sidewalk, gutter, ramps, and other flatwork as needed.
Responsibilities: - Safely and efficiently operate a skid steer loader for various tasks such as digging, grading, hauling, and material handling as directed by a supervisor or project manager.
- Work in close proximity to equipment and people and operate a skid steer to remove materials in a safe manner.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform necessary maintenance on the skid steer.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate safety gear consistently.
- Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely and quality project completion.
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned, including operating other types of equipment, assisting with manual labor, and handling administrative tasks related to the job.
Requirements - To be eligible for consideration, all applicants must possess a valid Driver's License and any necessary certifications or licenses for operating heavy equipment (CDL A preferred).
- Requires 1 to 2 years of demonstrable previous experience as a Skid Steer Operator.
- Candidates must possess at least one year of Skid Steer experience with a focus on asphalt, including proficiency in operating buckets, milling equipment, and brooms.
- Experience in heavy equipment operation preferred, with a focus on Asphalt Skid Steer for at least 1 year.
- Must have good vision, stamina, and hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
- Capable of heavy lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, crouching, and reaching
- Able to work outdoors with periodic exposure to the environment with high levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.
- Exemplary attention to detail, quality craftsmanship, and a safety focused mindset.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals.
- Adaptive to different personalities and management styles
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
