Sheet Metal Assembler

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling large, complex parts according to work instructions and blueprints. You will also be involved in applying masking tape, rubber plugs, and caps to sheet metal parts prior to powder coating, as well as removing them after the coating process. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying, counting, labeling, packaging, and shipping finished parts. Job Specifications:

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assemble large, complex parts according to work instructions and blueprints
- Install nuts, bolts, rivets, etc. by hand or with hand tools
- Apply masking tape, rubber plugs, and caps to sheet metal parts prior to powder coating
- Remove masking tape, rubber plugs, and caps after the coating process
- Hang parts on the conveyor line and remove parts as needed
- Identify, count, and label parts accurately
- Package finished parts for shipping
- Move pallets using a pallet jack
- Load and unload the Powder Coating Conveyor Line with sheet metal fabricated parts

Qualifications & Skills:
- Ability to read sheet metal shop blueprints
- Experience in assembling complex parts
- Proficiency in using power tools
- Knowledge of identifying metric and standard hardware
- Effective communication skills with supervisors and coworkers
- Good basic math skills (addition and subtraction)
- Punctuality and reliability
- Efficiency with speed, urgency, and attention to detail
- Strong mechanical skills
- Ability to take direction well
- Physical ability to lift 75-100 lbs, stand, walk, sit, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, reach, and perform repetitive hand and finger movements
