Senior Product Manager – Employee Benefits The global leader in cloud‑based software solutions powering the insurance industry is looking for a Sr. Product Manager (Employee Benefits Solutions) to join their Benefits Solutions Team in a remote or hybrid setting. The Sr. Product Manager – Benefits will define and execute on the strategy for the company’s Benefits products. This individual will be a key leader in developing and executing product strategies across various functions within the organization. This role involves identifying problem statements, conducting market research, and driving alignment with feature and product prioritization based on user needs. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver successful products. The role will focus on tailoring the agency management system experience for Benefits users, connecting carrier and partner solutions to digitize the round‑trip of insurance, and driving insights by leveraging the company’s portfolio of BI solutions. Paired with their industry‑leading Property and Casualty solutions, the product portfolio will deliver agencies one view of the customer across their entire book of business. Base pay range $160,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr Location: Ohio, United States What You’ll Do In This Role: Prioritize and manage the product backlog, translating requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria using Agile methodologies while partnering with internal stakeholders and contributing to the success of their quarterly planning process. Lead the roadmap and release planning for a product or multiple related products, balancing strategic goals and operational execution. Contribute to product roadmap planning activities to ensure alignment with market demands and strategic objectives through market research to gather insights to drive data‑driven product development decisions. Ensure the development team can be continually fed by planning, monitoring, and analyzing the requirements throughout the roadmap and release planning process. Collaborate with Software Development, User Experience, Customer Experience, Go‑To‑Market, Customers, Product Leadership and Cross‑Functional Leadership to determine a clear understanding of business problems that can be solved by technological solutions. Own establishing exploratory research topics that influence the long‑term strategy for a product and spearhead market research and competitive benchmarking to pinpoint customer needs, product gaps, and market opportunities. Lead the creation and presentation of strategic business cases to product leadership, cross‑functional leadership, and executives, aligning proposals with business goals and customer needs. Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to develop a financially and technically feasible roadmap, including scale, security, and performance requirements, with a formal change management process. Drive product activation to ensure new products or features/releases are ready for on‑time, in‑scope delivery, including launch, training, support, marketing, messaging, sales, and other related departments. Own the Adoption dashboard for platform solutions – including defining measures, setting goals, reporting on progress, capturing voice of the customer, and recommending tactics to improve KPIs. Define detailed design specifications for software projects, leveraging your technical understanding of full‑stack applications. Informally mentor junior product team members, sharing expertise and promoting continuous learning. As a product manager, understand a range of stakeholders, including other product teams within the organization, servicing, sales, and technology teams at enterprise customers, third‑party partners, as well as a strong understanding of the Insurtech ecosystem and their customers’ needs. Experience Required Should Include: 7+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or Business Analysis within Agile, focusing on delivering successful data‑driven products. Strong experience in the Employee Benefits domain. Proven track record in developing and implementing data‑driven products and solutions. Experience with APIs. Strong Agile/Scrum discipline, adept at leading cross‑functional teams. Familiarity with data analytics, data visualization tools, reporting tools, and tech stack; experience with Looker is beneficial. Excellent communication skills, driving the implementation of value‑added features. Technical proficiency across full‑stack applications. Ability to define detailed design specifications and collaborate effectively with technical teams. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Engineering, Information Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines. Beneficial Experience Would Include: Experience with the Benefits Administration industry. Accounting experience within Employee Benefits. Jira/Confluence experience or similar project management tools.
