Job Summary:

We are seeking a Sr. Power BI Developer to join our team! As a Sr. Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for responsible for transforming raw data into insightful and actionable reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. This role works closely with technical teams to enhance data analytics and business intelligence strategies, with moderate autonomy in decision-making and minimal supervision, adhering to established processes. This role involves collaboration with all levels of company personnel and external contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and automate reports and dashboards using Power BI and other relevant tools.
• Understand business needs and translate them into effective data models for reporting.
• Create interactive, visual dashboards that provide clear insights.
• Identify and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) based on business objectives.
• Analyze and present data to support decision-making processes.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including timeline planning.
• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI scripts for detailed analysis.
• Execute advanced DAX queries and functions within Power BI.
• Generate charts and document data models, parameters, and algorithms.
• Implement technical improvements to existing BI systems to enhance their performance.
• Apply expertise in database design principles (e.g., multidimensional and relational databases).
• Ensure compliance with clinical trial processes, GCP regulations, and company SOPs.
• Respond promptly to requests for documentation or bug fixes from the Validation/Test team.
• Optimize complex DAX formulas and manage environments using deployment pipelines.
• Create detailed, paginated reports as needed.
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of Power BI experience.
• Experience with third-party tool integration and data visualization techniques.
• Prior experience in a CRO or pharmaceutical environment is preferred

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong expertise in source code, database designs, integrations, and BI architecture.
• Proficient in documenting, designing, and modeling technical solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of software implementation best practices and SDLC processes.
• Ability to analyze system requirements, propose solutions, and implement effectively.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines (ICH, CFR) for clinical studies and computer systems.
• Experience in secure data transfer methods and data refresh management.
• Knowledge of best practices for managing Power BI workspaces, permissions, and content distribution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with a results-driven mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
