Job Description

The MCBL is the Army Futures Command's (AFC) premier lab for experimentation on the Command and Control (C2) Warfighting Function, Echelons Above Brigade and the integration of all Warfighting Functions. MCBL investigates emerging concepts and technologies, and explores the deep future through experimentation, studies, and prototyping to inform C2 capability development and Echelons Above Brigade modernization efforts. MCBL proposes solutions within the Science and Technology community, the generating force, and operation.

Senior Military Analyst Requirements: The senior military analyst must be an experienced
Army operator with field-grade level knowledge and experience in Army, joint,
and coalition operations (greater than 15 years desired); service at echelons
above brigade is required as is knowledge of Army/Joint Capability
Development; previous service within joint and/or combined organizations is
desired; experience as a division/corps/theater army/joint headquarters
planner, strategist, or member of a Commander’s Initiative Group (CIG) is
desired; minimum educational include a MA or MS degree from an accredited
university and graduation from Command and General Staff College (MEL 4)
or equivalent service command/general staff college; graduation from the
Army War College or National Defense University is desired; experience with
the full scope of work, i.e. studies, experimentation, and prototyping is desired;
demonstrated experience as a task leader or program manager of teams of
contractors in support of Army or joint requirements is desired; demonstrated
planning experience for complex activities equivalent to that of an annual
experimentation program or experiment series that are comprised of multiple
events is required.

Additional Requirement:

  • Secret Clearance (minimum) on Day 1 with favorable recent NACI for access to NIPRNet
