Job Description

Our client is seeking a talented engineer to assist in the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of our systems. Initially, this role will focus on supporting the scaling of Bitcoin mining engineering and infrastructure teams to meet rapid growth, while ensuring systems are designed for maximum availability given our unique challenges. The goal is to help build world-class mining infrastructure and software, a key project for our future growth. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to scaling efforts that address both capacity and resiliency demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the DevOps team to align current technologies with future objectives.
• Work closely with mining technology teams to understand and address critical challenges.
• Provide ongoing maintenance support and implement improvements to streamline processes.
• Partner with the infrastructure team to automate setup, configuration, and monitoring of critical systems across mining facilities.
• Design and implement high-availability (HA) and zero-downtime cloud solutions for mining operations.
• Develop clear documentation and provide guidance on building, monitoring, and maintaining mining systems.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in architecting, building, and managing highly-available systems.
• 3+ years of experience managing systems with automation frameworks and expertise in containerization technologies.
• Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud ecosystems.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks like Terraform.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools, such as Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, including GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python.
• Strong understanding of modern web architecture patterns.
• Advanced knowledge of Git and usage on platforms like GitHub.
• Bonus: Experience managing and monitoring networking appliances.
