We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Cinematics Editor to join our team. As an
Senior Cinematics Editor , you will be responsible for helping create and maintain cinematic sequences for video games. You will work closely with the Lead Cinematic Editor to bring the game's narrative and story to life through visually stunning and engaging cinematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit assigned sequences and animatics.
- Organize, convert, sync, log, trim, assemble, and otherwise prep storyboards, ref cam footage and final animation.
- Prepare sequences for review and track notes.
- Conform edits for layout, animation, lighting and audio departments, and for vendors.
- Maintain and export EDLs.
- Update cuts with layout, animation, lighting and audio mixes.
- Maintain and manage media storage.
- Recognize, troubleshoot and solve technical problems independently.
- Help develop tools to integrate the edits into the game engine.
- Ensure that cinematics are delivered on time and meet the technical requirements of the game engine.
- Collaborate and develop ideas for new cinematics that will enhance the overall narrative and gameplay experience.
- Help create cinematics that are high quality and meet the creative vision of the project.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Audio and Art, to ensure that all aspects of the cinematics are cohesive and complement each other.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in film production, animation, or related field.
- 5-7 years of editing experience at a games, film or animation studio in a similar role.
- Strong Proficiency in Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Unreal Experience a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of codecs, image types, file formats, resolutions and frame rates.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge and interest in current trends in video and post-production technology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Passion for video games and a deep understanding of their storytelling techniques and conventions.

The base pay range for this position in the state(s) above is $99,600 to $207,600 per year. Actual pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as other medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the specific position offered.
