As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing a secure, reliable and scalable communication platform for enterprises, where data isolation, compliance, and performance are core principles. You will work closely with a collaborative team of engineers and data scientists to shape the product roadmap and deploy mission critical changes. Part of this work is managing AWS resources and services. Your Responsibilities on the Team
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, efficient high-throughput backend services for B2B enterprise applications.
  • Build and optimize multi-tenant SaaS solutions on AWS, focusing on data-isolation, scalability, performance, security, and permissions.
  • Set SLAs/SLOs for latency, throughput, and error budgets; build monitoring and alerting; design for automatic failover and disaster recovery.
  • Lead and own efforts in infrastructure automation, optimization (including cost), and CI/CD implementation using AWS tools.
  • Ensure high-quality code through rigorous test-driven development and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop APIs and backend services.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to align on deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and implement robust security measures (e.g., encryption, secure data separation and handling) across backend services.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Engineering.
  • 7+ years in experience in backend software engineering, at least 4 years working with AWS.
  • Experience with OAuth2/OpenID Connect, SAML, LDAP
  • Designing isolated schemas, partitioned data stores, or sharding strategies
  • Expertise in AWS core services (e.g., EC2, CloudFormation, Lamda, API Gateway, etc.).
  • Strong programming skills in Python (optional: C/C++, Java- / Typescript).
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-grade B2B applications.
  • Strong understanding of API design and database management.
  • Demonstrated experience with test-driven development (TDD) and CI/CD.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • A strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Confidence in your abilities, balanced with humility and a willingness to learn from others.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with CPaaS (e.g, Twilio, Plivo).
  • Experience in the construction industry or related fields.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
