Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior 3D Artist to join our Visual Development Team. The Senior 3D Artist will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D assets, leading visual development efforts, and mentoring junior artists. This role requires an expert understanding of modelling, texturing, shading, and optimization techniques, as well as the ability to provide artistic and technical guidance to the team.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities - Design, model, texture, and optimize high-quality 3D assets, including characters, environments, props, and VFX.
- Ensure assets meet artistic vision and technical constraints while maintaining efficiency in performance.
- Develop shaders and materials that enhance visual quality and realism.
- Provide guidance, feedback, and support to junior and mid-level 3D artists to enhance overall team performance.
- Assist in defining and maintaining best practices for 3D asset creation, optimization, and integration.
- Work closely with the Creative Manager to establish artistic standards and workflows.
- Work closely with designers, programmers, and other artists to ensure assets integrate seamlessly into the game engine.
Requirements
Experience and Education Degree in 3D Art, Game Design, Fine Arts, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of professional experience as a 3D Artist in game development, animation, or a related industry.
Portfolio showcasing high-quality 3D models, textures, and animations, with examples of both stylized and realistic work.
Expertise in 3D modelling software (Blender, Maya, 3Ds Max, etc.)
Experience rigging and animating characters or objects
Advanced knowledge of texturing and material creation (Substance Painter, Quixel, Photoshop, etc.)
Experience with game engines (Unity) and real-time asset integration.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical and artistic challenges.
Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines.
Preferred Experience: Understanding of procedural asset creation and workflow automation.
Familiarity with casino or gambling-related gaming industries.
