As a Security Professional - Dispatch Patrol Driver in Akron, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a part-time security officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a dispatch officer in a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents through monitoring, communication, and coordination of response activities. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license as you support the team in maintaining a secure environment and fostering a caring culture that puts people first.

Position Pay Rate: $17.39/Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeSat12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSun12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and coordinate communications for all security-related activities within the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Dispatch security personnel to respond to incidents, alarms, or emergencies as needed, following site-specific protocols.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of all dispatched calls, incidents, and security-related activities.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries related to security procedures and site access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, relaying information to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
  • Collaborate with on-site security teams to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
  • Conduct regular checks of communication equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support Allied Universal management by adhering to company and client policies, and participating in ongoing training and development activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
