As a Security Officer - Armed Transportation Patrol Driver in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you'll actively monitor and patrol transportation locations to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure atmosphere for all. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and support a secure environment.
  • Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Maintain clear and detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities as required by site management.
  • Interact with the public and personnel in a courteous and professional manner, addressing inquiries and/or concerns as needed.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related issues or hazards throughout the transportation location and report any irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support Allied Universal operations by adhering to all company and site-specific standards and protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have 1 or more years of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • An active armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
