As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver - Government in Aurora, CO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities, as you respond to various situations and interact with the public. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients at government locations by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed response protocols as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities, while adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a visible security-related presence.
  • Report and document any suspicious activities, incidents, or security-related concerns according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency response personnel as needed, following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing Allied Universal at all times during interactions with the public and/or staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a minimum of three years combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
