As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Brookwood, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas within the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, working closely with site personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
  • Maintain detailed records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors regarding access procedures and site policies.
  • Assist with enforcing site rules and regulations to help to deter disruptions within the manufacturing and industrial environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
