As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver Residential in Coral Gables, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a residential community. This role requires you to be armed and to drive as part of your daily duties. You will interact with residents and guests, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while maintaining a visible presence. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the well-being of the community.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and/or parking areas to help to deter unwanted behavior and report suspicious activities.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with property management and/or residents to address concerns and provide a visible security-related presence.
  • Remain alert and aware of any potential security-related threats or hazards within the residential location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • Possess a current armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
