We move fast, with precision, and always execute with privacy at the forefront. We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer for our Security & Threat Intelligence Team! You will be instrumental in safeguarding our platform by identifying and mitigating abuse threats. You'll leverage your analytical skills and threat intelligence expertise to develop effective strategies that protect our users and maintain platform integrity. What You’ll Do: Conduct comprehensive analyses of anomalies and emerging abuse threats, identifying patterns and integrating findings into actionable intelligence. Create innovative, scalable solutions for detecting and mitigating abuse, utilizing threat intelligence data and insights. Work closely with internal teams such as engineering, operations, and product management to develop proactive measures against abuse threats. Assist in handling security incidents by applying threat intelligence insights to inform response strategies. Actively participate in shaping the threat intelligence team's future projects and mentor junior engineers to enhance team capability. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Demonstrable impact in threat intelligence, spam & abuse or other security domains. Proficient with programming languages (e.g. Golang, Python, Java). Proficient with big data tools (e.g., BigQuery, colab) for threat analysis. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams. Passionate about security and user privacy, with a keen interest in learning and innovation. Minimum Qualifications: BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience in a related technical field. 6+ years of experience in a security-focused role with foundational coding skills. Strong analytical skills and experience in developing intelligence-based security solutions. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in threat intelligence or related security fields. Compensation: In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future. Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): The base salary range for this position is $190,000-$284,000 annually. Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $181,000-$270,000 annually.
