FUNCTION
The Ticket Writer is responsible for providing exemplary customer service, issuing and cashing Sports Betting tickets, and balancing daily banks.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Include, but are not limited to:
* Issuing and cashing sports wagering tickets / vouchers for a variety of Sporting Events on any given shift.
* Provide customer service to all sports wagering guests ensuring their satisfaction.
* Completing required paperwork and balancing cash drawer at the end of each shift.
* Possess knowledge of sports wagering as it relates to handicapping, point spreads, and money lines, to be able to assist guests.
* Adhering to and enforcing all Anti-Money Laundering corporate policies and federal reporting requirements.
* Follow all regulatory/administrative and company regulations and policies.
* Attend sports wagering and Anti-Money Laundering training and ongoing training as required.
* Maintaining a sufficient level of productivity / performance as defined by the Company.
* Participate in cross training to enhance knowledge and skill set in cage operation and duties.
* Remaining informed on large scale sporting events.
* Ensuring the safety and security of team members, guests, and Company property.
* Obtain a sports wagering license from the regulatory body (Kentucky Horse Racing Commission).
* Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
* High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
* Cash handling experience is required.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
* Motivated team player driven to provide exemplary customer service.
* Team player with a can do attitude.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This work is performed in a Sports and Entertainment facility. Some areas of the facility may be very noisy and subject to changing weather conditions.
