ProCare Therapy is excited to announce a full-time opportunity for a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to work in a virtual school based setting. This role is perfect for a skilled interpreter who is passionate about supporting students with hearing impairments by providing essential communication services in an educational setting. Position Details:

• Contract Type: Full-time
• Hours: 35-40 hours per week
• Caseload: K-12 students

Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpretation services for K-12 students during classroom instruction, school activities, and meetings.
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers to ensure full participation in educational activities.
• Accurately interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa.
• Adapt interpreting methods to meet the needs of individual students based on their IEPs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and parents to support student success.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interpreting services.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a 3.5EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score.
• Certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter(if applicable).
• Experience working in a K-12 educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to supporting students' academic and social development.

Compensation:

• 1099 Independent contractor position
• Competitive hourly rate - depending on educational background and EIPA/test scores (40-55$/hr range)
