One of our client is seeking for a School Social Worker (MSW)

JOB SUMMARY:
• The position requires flexibility and excellent interpersonal skills both with internal and external educators, clinicians, families/guardians and other personnel.
• As a member of the education team, establish and maintain a positive, strengthbased, developmentally appropriate educational milieu that is in keeping with the values and clinical treatment philosophy of client.
• Responsible for meeting all administrative, legal, and program requirements as mandated by all operating contracts including, but not limited to: DYFS, DOE, and COA.
• The School Social Worker will carry a caseload of up to twelve (12) day treatment clients.
• He/she will oversee and coordinate all aspects of a client's treatment program along with providing individual, family, and group therapy in accordance with the treatment plan and in concert with the other members of the treatment team.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in, under the direction of the School Principal, the orientation of education personnel.
• Maintain a positive relationship with referring school districts, school/clinical/residential staff.
• Provide therapeutic crisis intervention to students exhibiting behavioral difficulties.
• Provide crisis support to students and staff.
• Develop individual student behavior management/intervention plans.
• Participate as an active member of the treatment team in developing the Individual Education Plan (IEP) for day students.
• Provide in-service training to school staff regarding mental health issues and effective strategies to meet the needs of students with various psychiatric diagnosis and mental health needs.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
• Master's degree in social work.
• Possess School Social Worker Certification.
• Required to participate in CPR and First Aid training and required to perform techniques as needed.
