Good Shepherd Catholic School , a cornerstone of academic excellence and spiritual formation in downtown Garland since 1954, invites applications for the role of Principal , effective July 1, 2025. Good Shepherd is located in the Diocese of Dallas and enjoys the support of an active Catholic Schools Office. With 181 students and a dedicated team of 28 faculty and staff, Good Shepherd provides a nurturing, Christ-centered environment where students grow intellectually, spiritually, and socially. As our next Principal , you will: Lead a vibrant and diverse Catholic school community, fostering a strong culture of faith, learning, and service. Shape the future of academic excellence by supporting curriculum innovation and faculty development. Cultivate an environment where students are encouraged to explore their talents and grow in faith. Partner with families, parish leadership, and the Diocese of Dallas to strengthen Catholic education. Lead with vision, integrity, and a commitment to spiritual and professional growth . What We’re Looking For: A practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church who is: Passionate Catholic Leader – Committed to strengthening the school’s faith-based mission and Catholic identity. Experienced Educator – Minimum of five years of collaborative leadership experience as a principal or assistant principal (Catholic school experience preferred). Academic Visionary – Background in curriculum development and staff professional growth. Fluent in Spanish – Ability to communicate effectively with our diverse community. Qualified Professional – Holds (or is actively pursuing) an advanced degree in Educational Administration/Leadership or Principal Certification. Why Good Shepherd?
