American Medical Staffing is currently seeking a School LPN for school-based contract positions throughout the La Plata area for the 24/25 school year. LPN - School Job Details: - Pay Rate: $27.50-$35.50 per hour
- Schedule: Monday-Friday - no call, no weekends, no holidays
- Hours: School bell hours, approximately 37.5 hours per week
- Contract: 2024/2025 school year with optional summer school
- Located In: La Plata, MD
- Requirements: Qualified applicants MUST be licensed as an LPN and willing to obtain MD licensure.
You'll have the opportunity to provide comprehensive nursing care to children within an education setting. As the leading advocate for well-being and care onsite, you'll be an integral part of school and community health-and build lasting bonds with the students and their families as they grow and learn. Responsibilities include:
- Working one-on-one in the nurses' office/healthsuite to care for the medical needs of students
- Administering medication and treatment in line with health standards and practices
- Supporting individual care needs, such as asthma action plan management, insulin monitoring, and more
- Providing first aid and emergency care for sudden injuries/illnesses
- Maintaining accurate health records, including immunization records
