All American Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Temporary School Nurse to join our team at one of the schools. This temporary position is an excellent opportunity for a licensed nurse looking to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of students in an educational setting. The School Nurse will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellness of students, and will provide first aid, care, and medical support during school hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Student Health Assessment: Monitor, assess, and treat students with injuries or illnesses, and provide appropriate first aid care.
• Health Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date student health records, including immunization records, medication administration logs, and medical histories.
• Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies on campus, providing first aid and stabilizing students until further medical assistance arrives if needed.
• Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications to students according to individual health plans and school policy.
• Health Education: Educate students, staff, and parents on health and wellness issues, including hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
• Health Screening: Conduct regular health screenings for vision, hearing, and other health-related assessments.
• Collaboration: Work closely with school administrators, counselors, teachers, and parents to manage chronic health conditions and special medical needs of students.
• Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality regarding student health information and follow HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Education: Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a valid and current nursing license in the state of [State].
• Experience: Previous experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting is preferred, but not required.
• Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification required. Additional certifications such as school nurse certification or other relevant training are a plus.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and the ability to handle stressful situations with care and professionalism.
• Background Check and Drug Test: Successful completion of a background check and health screening as required by school policy.
