The Role

As a Functional Consultant, you will own the integrity and strength of the solutions recommended and delivered. You’ll be acting as a trusted advisor to our team and clients, and an effective mentor for other Zaelab professionals working alongside you. You’ll be a go-to expert with deep Salesforce platform expertise, as well as excellent consulting skills to communicate your ideas and solutions to clients; gaining buy-in to get your visions built into successful solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research into clients’ use of Salesforce or B2B Configuration Experiences, producing a report of findings with recommended steps and a roadmap for solutions
  • Collaborate with colleagues and customers to create prototypes and proofs of concept as a means of eliciting and defining requirements
  • Gather and analyze business requirements and provide recommendations for improving business processes and leveraging Salesforce B2B Commerce & CPQ capabilities.
  • Become the subject matter expert in the domain of CPQ & implementation of custom product configurators using technologies such as Logik.io
  • Lead business process mapping sessions and create functional requirements documentation.
  • Work with technical teams to ensure the effective implementation of solutions and ensure they meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive adoption of Salesforce B2B Commerce and ensure successful rollouts.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and internal stakeholders
  • Perform gap analysis, identify and prioritize enhancements to existing systems and processes
  • Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes and provide solutions to improve the overall user experience
  • Keep up-to-date with Salesforce B2B Commerce best practices and changes in the industry
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and effective communication
  • Participate in project planning, scoping and estimation activities
  • Manage and conduct requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews and initial client discover work
  • Lead testing efforts in conjunction with the Project or QA Manager, including the design and execution of test scripts and scenarios
  • Prepare training materials appropriate for target audiences and developed solution and conduct training sessions
  • Assist with gap analysis, business process redesign, roadmap planning and developing proof-of-concepts
  • Support the development of strong client relationships by building trust, rapport and strong working relationships with key sponsors, stakeholders, and team members

Requirements

Qualifications and Background
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or equivalent role in B2B. It’s desirable that you have a focus on Salesforce B2B Commerce and/or CPQ (building custom product configurators)
  • Strong understanding of B2B business processes and solutions.
  • Ability to drive & define B2B experience based solutions, and the technologies that will enable them
  • Proficient in Salesforce B2B Commerce, including setup and configuration, order management, and integrations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and lead business process mapping sessions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and find solutions to complex business problems.

Required:

  • Previous expertise in building customized configure, quote and price (CPQ) or B2B commerce solutions
  • A hands-on approach to solution delivery with the team. You’ll do more than just create diagrams.
  • A proactive personality, with a can-do attitude,
  • Excellent relationship-building skills,
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to observe trends. Able to actively make suggestions based on the results,
  • Available and responsive to questions, clarifications and instructions
  • Ability to tailor communication to multiple audiences at all levels
  • A self-starter, experienced in leading projects or delivery work streams
  • Outstanding written communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate concepts visually and in writing in a way that enables stakeholders to decide with confidence
  • A strategic approach to solution design, with a proven ability to develop and execute tactical plans to support the strategy
  • Excellent ability to coach, motivate and direct work tasks to a multidisciplinary team of Salesforce professionals

Desirable/bonus:

  • Past experience building custom product configurators with Logik.io
  • Active in the Salesforce community
  • Past experience writing Javascript or SF APEX and/or working with APIs (REST)
  • Salesforce certifications desired:
    • Platform Administrator
    • CPQ Specialist
