Our growing company StepStone Hospitality is looking to fill the role of rooms division manager in the Hotel Silver Spring. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Rooms Division Manager to oversee the operations of our Front Desk, Valet and Housekeeping Departments. As a Rooms Division Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of multiple departments. This is a leadership role that requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a customer-centric mindset. The ideal candidate is highly intelligent hotel professional with outstanding, management skills and extensive hands-on experience. Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

  • Is in charge of the organization and quality of Front Desk, Housekeeping and Valet
  • Maximize and identify revenue and cost control opportunities within the departments
  • Manages and motivates the teams in order to improve sales and quality
  • Leads and brings life to Mercure projects and identity features in the departments
  • Deliver cost, expense and payroll targets
  • Fully involved with business planning, revenue management and forecasting
  • Ensuring that personal/ development plans are in place for all direct reports
  • Anticipates the needs of “repeat” guests and issues instructions to ensure those needs are met by the different teams within the departments
  • To respond to changes in the Operations function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel
  • Desired experience for Rooms Division Manager includes:
  • Coordinate work orders in assigned section
  • Follow up to be sure work is completed
  • Release checkout rooms to be sold
  • Monitor the performance of House Attendants
  • Assure that there are sufficient supplies on the guest floors
  • Check cleanliness of guest corridors, stairwells, elevators and Linen Closets
  • Reviews and oversees the implementation of all training and development programs in the Front Desk and Housekeeping
  • Previous hotel front desk manager or front desk supervisor experience is required
