Akkodis is seeking a Risk Manager for a Contract job with a client in Jersey City, NJ/ New York City, NY (Hybrid) . You will work closely with senior business stakeholders in Global Market Risk teams to manage significant funded initiatives and deliver next-generation Market Risk technology solutions.

Rate Range: $68/hour to $73/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Risk Manager job responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to identify and address business problems related to Market Risk exposure management.

• Partnering with Global Markets Financial Risk, Global Risk Analytics, and Model Risk Management to gather and define business requirements.

• Proposing technology solutions to business problems, ensuring alignment and agreement with all stakeholders.

• Estimating costs for technology solutions and participating in the budget approval process.

• Developing prototypes using Python, SQL, Excel/VBA to demonstrate solutions to stakeholders.

• Conducting data analysis using distributed computing platforms like Apache Hadoop to uncover trends and patterns.

• Managing the functional design of market risk applications and coordinating UAT activities, releases, and migration events.

• Leading process improvement and policy development initiatives impacting Market Risk technology.

• Adhering to risk mitigation plans and escalating issues to senior partners in a timely manner.

• Utilizing Agile methodologies to work with Product Owners and Product Managers on documentation, development of Epics, and Stories.

Desired Qualifications:

• Computer Engineering/Financial Degree.

• Strong experience in Market Risk, Risk, or Front Office with a solid understanding of financial markets products.

• Expertise in SQL, Excel, VBA, and Python for data analysis and problem-solving.

• Exposure to Agile methodologies and experience with all aspects of the project life cycle.

Pay Details: $68.00 to $73.00 per hour
