Registered Nurse Trauma Operating Room | HCA Florida Kendall Hospital Miami, FL
Full-Time | Nights (Rotating Weekends) | Salary: $39.57 to $53.34/hr (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Case by case | Fee: 20% of annual salary
HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is a 417-bed acute care facility in west Miami-Dade County, recognized nationally for overall clinical excellence. The hospital is a Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center , a verified Level I Adult Trauma Center by the ACS , and one of five American Burn Association verified Burn Centers in Florida . The facility offers a full spectrum of services, including trauma, surgical, women's and children's services, behavioral health, and diagnostics.
We are seeking an experienced Trauma OR Registered Nurse to join our high-performing team. This role requires acute care trauma OR experience, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, critical care surgical environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssume responsibility and accountability for trauma patients in the operating room
Deliver high-quality care using the nursing process, therapeutic interventions, and collaboration with the healthcare team
Maintain adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices
Respond to trauma and emergent cases with efficiency and accuracy
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes during surgical interventions
Required:
Florida RN license or recognized compact licensure (must comply with Florida requirements)
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or obtain within 30 days of employment)
Minimum 2 years trauma operating room acute care experience
Must live within 30 minutes of the facility due to on-call requirements
Preferred:
Previous experience in a high-acuity trauma OR environment
Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy skills
Hourly Rate: $39.57-$53.34/hr (based on experience, 17+ years max)
