Incumbent is responsible for planning and coordinating youth and adult recreation programs. Duties include: planning, organizing and promoting recreational activities; organizing leagues; recruiting and scheduling coaches, official scorekeepers; monitoring activities at recreation center, play areas and sports facilities; overseeing maintenance of facilities and equipment; maintaining effective working relationships with staff and public; and, preparing time sets and payroll for instructors, officials and scorekeepers. Qualifications: High school diploma or General Equivalency Degree (G.E.D) or, any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the duties of the job such as those listed above. One-year related recreation work experience.
