Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a Project Manager for a Contract job with a client in Windsor, CT . The role requires driving projects through the SDLC, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful on-time, on-budget delivery while communicating project status and risks to senior leadership.
Rate Range: $70.70 /hour to $70.70 /hour
Project Manager job responsibilities include:
Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of small to medium-sized technology projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
Lead project teams, assign responsibilities, and develop project schedules while managing resources effectively.
Act as the liaison between business and technology stakeholders, communicating project status, issues, and risks.
Maintain project plans, financial forecasting, and tracking to ensure project alignment with business goals.
Apply various project management methodologies (e.g., SDLC, Agile, Waterfall) to ensure quality delivery.
Review and evaluate work to ensure adherence to quality standards, organizational policies, and procedures.
Mentor less-experienced team members and provide leadership in project execution.
Present project updates and executive-level communications to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably with 2+ years in leadership roles.
Experience managing multiple projects through various stages of the SDLC, with knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present and interact effectively with senior leadership, VPs, and C-level executives.
