DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a Program Manager in the US Delivery Speed Organization for Outbound Transportation. Amazon transportation encompasses all of the operations that deliver shipments from our fulfillment centers and third party locations to customers within the U.S.


As a Program Manager, for Outbound Transportation, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating transportation projects and initiatives, ensuring efficient and effective transportation services for our organization. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of transportation programs. If you have a passion for transportation, excellent organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives, we encourage you to apply. Our team is specifically responsible for forecasting, improving, and educating leadership on "speed of delivery" that our customers experience.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop and implement transportation programs and initiatives in line with the organization's strategic goals and objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify transportation needs and develop innovative solutions to improve transportation efficiency and effectiveness
- Monitor and analyze transportation data, trends, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations
- Articulate business and technical requirements to effect process changes
- Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in transportation management, and incorporate them into program strategies

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
