Offering a competitive salary range of $125,000 to $180,000 based on experience, this position also has the potential for future growth within our company. As a Professional Land Surveyor, you will work on a variety of projects in both public and private sectors, including topographic, boundary/cadastral, construction, ALTA, As-built, land development, easement, residential, and commercial surveying. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to provide engineering support and assist with site design and layout for commercial businesses. You will work closely with entry-level and experienced surveyors, as well as other support staff, to ensure seamless project execution. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to understand their capabilities and provide guidance and support.
  • Conduct thorough research and gather data for projects, equipping field crews with all necessary information to complete the surveys efficiently.
  • Set up surveys for field crews or educate team members on how to accomplish specific tasks.
  • Delegate tasks to support staff, providing them with opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the company.
  • Use conventional surveying and GPS methods to gather field survey data and determine precise locations and measurements of points, elevations, contours, and more.
  • Write legal descriptions, draft certificates of survey, and offer guidance to junior staff on corner records.
  • Participate in pre-survey planning meetings to provide updates and share progress during all phases.
  • Ensure project schedules and productivity goals are met.
Qualifications:
  • Active PLS license in good standing with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
  • Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D and MS Office software.
  • Preference given to candidates with Trimble experience.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently with strong listening, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
