Expanding direct mail marketing and printing company in the Chicago area is hiring an experienced Print Estimator to join their team
Job Responsibilities:

• Produce timely and accurate estimates for print and mail jobs.
• Read and review specifications presented by Customers or Sales Representatives and resolving discrepancies.
• Determine which combination of equipment will produce the job most efficiently and price the job accordingly.
• Ensure jobs are estimated to meet Customers’ expectations, advising of any deviations needed and making suggestions for best efficiency. 
• Work with outside vendors to outsource work and negotiating prices for work performed.

Qualifications include:

• 3 -5 years estimating experience with sheetfed and web/web in-line, print/bindery and letter shop/direct mail preferred. Print estimating experience required.
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
• Take directions well and follow through on assignments 
• Proficient with Word and Excel required.
• Prior experience with an ERP. Working knowledge of Print Stream a plus .
• Must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area and volume and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or spread sheet form and be able to develop a plan for pricing
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent project management skills.
