Responsibilities:
- Practice Operations Management :
- Oversee day-to-day operations of three neurology practice locations, ensuring efficiency and consistency across all sites.
- Manage provider schedules (1-2 per location) to optimize patient flow and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and other relevant standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and quality of care.
- Human Resources Leadership :
- Lead all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management for clinical and administrative staff.
- Manage employee relations, ensuring positive workplace culture and conflict resolution when necessary.
- Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and employee retention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and healthcare-specific HR regulations.
- Financial Oversight :
- Work with accounting and finance teams to oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management for all practice locations.
- Identify areas for cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for practice growth and profitability.
- Coordination with Clinical Research Division :
- Liaise with the sister company conducting clinical research to ensure smooth coordination of staff, resources, and operational priorities.
- Assist with recruitment efforts for clinical trials by integrating strategies into the practice’s workflow.
- Oversee shared resources between the clinical practice and research division to maximize efficiency.
- Patient Experience and Satisfaction :
- Implement and monitor patient satisfaction programs to enhance the overall patient experience.
- Address patient complaints and feedback, working with staff to improve service delivery and care quality.
- Compliance and Risk Management :
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare laws and regulations.
- Oversee risk management programs, including insurance coverage, liability, and safety measures for both clinical and administrative operations.
- Vendor and Contract Management :
- Manage relationships with vendors, including medical equipment suppliers, pharmaceutical representatives, and IT service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and monitor performance to ensure cost-effective and reliable service.
- Technology and Systems Oversight :
- Oversee the practice’s EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system and ensure staff are trained and compliant with usage standards.
- Collaborate with IT providers to maintain and upgrade office technology, including telehealth services, practice management software, and patient portals.
- Perform basic IT tasks , including installing and updating computers and software at all locations, troubleshooting minor technical issues, and coordinating with external IT support for larger problems.
- Leadership and Team Development :
- Mentor and lead the clinical and administrative teams, promoting collaboration and professional growth.
- Conduct regular team meetings to align practice goals with daily operations and ensure open communication.
- Strategic Planning :
- Work closely with the practice’s leadership to develop and execute long-term strategies for growth, including expanding services, improving patient care, and enhancing profitability.
- Identify opportunities for practice development and innovation in both the neurology practice and research division.
