We are seeking a Practice Assistant/ Manager to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative tasks and assist in the underwriting process to keep the insurance practice running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
  • Confirming client appointments
  • Responding to client in force emails/ requests/ updates
  • Prep client files for meetings (needs analysis, term quotes, options etc.
  • Complete client insurance application calls
  • Coordinate client medical appointments
  • Call doctors office to follow up on APS
  • Monitor requirements for insurance applications – and follow up with insurance carriers constantly/reply to carrier’s question
    • Checking portals daily on any changes for any application in underwriting
  • Prepare policy delivery/offers
  • Provide communication with clients on underwriting status
  • Assist in escalations as needed on the operations side
  • Track communication on the excel sheet/manage excel to ensure everything is up to date in the pipeline including closed/completed files
  • Review commission to ensure adviser is paid correctly
  • Prepare for client file once the file has closed

  • Previous experience in insurance industry
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Detailed oriented
  • Quick learner and absorbing any information they come across to use a reference for any future case/files – able to retain information is very important
  • Proactive thinking
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident in working independently/remotely and not afraid to ask questions
  • Great communication and customer service skills 
  • Tech Savy, comfortable with excel/word
