We are recruiting for Police Officers on behalf of the City of Los Angeles California.

Qualifications

• Age : Applicants must be at least 20 years old when they take the examination and at least 21 years of age by police academy graduation.
• Citizenship Required : Be legally authorized to work in the United States under federal law. Must satisfy the requirements for obtaining a firearm permit, including status as a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.
• High School Grad/GED : Graduation from a US high school, GED or equivalent from a US institution, or a California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) certificate is required. A two or four year college degree from an accredited US or foreign institution may be substituted for the high school requirements. Documentation demonstrating that the institution is accredited must be submitted prior to taking the written test.
• Valid CALIFORNIA Driver's License a California driver's license.

Background: Any conviction by the state, the federal, or a foreign government of a crime, the punishment for which would have been imprisonment in a federal penitentiary or the state prison (felony) will result in a disqualification.

Note: Federal law prohibits anyone who has been convicted of a misdemeanor involving domestic violence from carrying a firearm.
