Job Description
North Florida Law Firm is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic plaintiff’s personal injury litigation paralegal who is responsible for handling cases and clients in litigation and pre-litigation regarding auto accidents, slip and fall, animal bite and occasional business case. The candidate must also thoroughly understand and have experience on how to handle property (car / vehicle) damage, UM and BI claims. Will also be responsible for handling claims from intake to settlement and all litigation. The individual must thoroughly comprehend BI, UM and PIP coverage and be able to explain it. This is not an entry level position.

The position entails extensive contact with judges, lawyers, offices, clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers and must be done on a regular basis.

Examples of some of the daily tasks and responsibilities -
1. Logging onto the E portal / state Court filing system to file lawsuits, notices motions or other pleadings
2. Logging onto the Federal system (CME / PACER) system to file lawsuits, notices, motions, or other pleadings.
3. Talking to Client’s to get case information.
4. Read, review and interpret medical records
5. Draft routine motions and documents
6. Review and prepare responses to discovery
7. Schedule hearings and deposition.
8. Excellent organizational, written and communication skills are essential to writing demands and correspondence.

Health insurance is available with a 50% contribution from the employee and there are nine paid holidays. There are no other benefits. We are located in Orange Park, Florida/South Jacksonville.
