StaffMD has a health system client in southern Ohio seeking a BC/BE Endocrinologist to to join a hospital-employed multispecialty group. Looking for highly motivated candidate excited by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a community with a great need for an Endocrinologist. Large population of diabetic patients in addition to many thyroid and other endocrine issues requiring expertise and management. Not current Endocrinologist on medical staff, therefore many patients leave service area for treatment.
Practice details are as follows:
Hospital-employed position with multispecialty group
BC/BE in Endocrinology
Office hours M-Th 8a-5p / Fri 8a-12p
Limited call - No ER call, inpatient call minimal, outpatient call for emergent issues only and shared with FP physician
80-90% outpatient / 10-20% inpatient (1-3 new inpatient consultants/daily, ave census 4-6)
Procedures: Injections, ear irrigation, breathing treatment, mole/skin tag removal
Staff: 1 FT FP physician, potential for 2 NPs, 1 MA, 1 LP, 1 office manager, certified diabetes education and/or insulin pump educator
Approximate 30 patients/day
Anticipated procedures in office - Ultrasound Guided Fine needle aspirate thyroid biopsy
Contract includes: Two Salary Options:
oOption 1: Base salary $215,000 (50%tile MGMA for those just completing training) with additional comp. for experience, guaranteed for 2 years. Can be switched to a wRVU production contract when exceeding target
5% less for those not yet boarded, salary adjusted upon board certification
oOption 2: Base salary $259,000 - (75%tile MGMA) guaranteed for one year and then switched to a wRVU production contract
5% less for those not yet boarded, salary adjusted upon board certification
oExcellent bonus incentives up to 30% of salary
oSign-on bonus: 15% of base salary up to $50,000
oMed school loan repayment: up to $200,000 ($25,000 per service year)
oMoving expense up to $10,000
oPTO: 4 weeks plus holidays/sick days (29 PTO days); 5 more days with 75%tile wRVUs
oDeferred comp and Retirement Plans both included
oHealth insurance: you pay a small premium deducted from paycheck
oCME/Books & Journals: 5 days PTO and up to $5,000 annually
oMalpractice insurance coverage
