*About The Six*
Founded in 2014, The Six has delivered over 35k hours of culturally competent physical and mental fitness to first responders, veterans, and those in high risk professions. Our mission is to treat and education survivors of traumatic exposure through state of the art multidisciplinary rehabilitation.
The Six currently offers sports performance and rehabilitation, integrated behavioral health, and community with a co-located MMA gym. With the rapid growth of our brand, we have recently expanded to offering a whole new preventative care model where our job specific mobility assessments and mental fitness coaching are integrated with annual physicals and available through our digital platform, virtual care, and in person classes at The Six facility or onsite at a customer’s location.
*About the role*
As part of our new care model, we now have overwhelming demand to add physical therapy services and are hiring our first physical therapists to meet this demand.
In this new role, you will launch and integrate physical therapy services into The Six experience and for members primarily working as first responders, construction, and general occupational health.
*Additional responsibilities:*
* Member assessments and evaluations
* Development of treatment plans that are consistent with assessments
* Instruction of physical therapy aides
* Proper documentation on all members receiving services
*Requirements:*
* Active Physical therapist license issues by the Physical Therapy Board of California (PTBC) and the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT)
* Preferred, but not required: experience (personal or professional) with the first responder population and culture
* Eager to learn, embrace, and delivery culturally competent care
*Job Details:*
* Full-time or part-time (minimum 20 hours per week)
* Full-time schedule: 8 hour shift, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, weekends as needed
* $45-$70 per hour based on experience level
* $2,500 sign on bonus after 90 days of employment
