Avera is currently seeking Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) looking to deliver the best possible care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

 

Position Highlights:

• Provide treatment to patients as they come for outpatient services in the therapy department.
• Able to work in a variety of areas including acute care, TCU/LTC, swing bed, pediatrics, outpatient adult.

Job Summary

• The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is accountable for treatment of patients, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, and RN while treating patients in Cardiac Rehab.
• The department in which the PTA works on any given day is at the discretion of the department leadership, based on staffing and patient volumes.

Education and/or Experience

• Associates Degree -Physical Therapist Assistant is required.
• 1-2 years of experience is preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• South Dakota PTA license through the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners

• Basic Life Support certification within the first 3 months of start date.

Work Schedule

• Monday – Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks
  • 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.  

• $23.25 - $34.00
