Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist-III Floater to support our client’s medical facility, which is based in Nashville, TN.

This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Nashville, TN

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm

Pay Range: $20.69/hr-$23.30/hr (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume

Responsibilities:

• Experience doing blood draws, labelling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the venipuncture (blood drawing) and/or other specimen collection (ex., urine or fecal) as required.
• Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by the test order.
• Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.

Work Experience:

• 5-7 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Minimum 2 years in a TRAVEL role strongly preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Additional notes:

Floaters travel in between multiple sites and are expected to be on time at whatever site they are covering for that day. Must also have a clean driving record. Floaters are able to submit mileage for expense reimbursement.
