Responsibilities:Responsibilities:
Bring your passion for neurology, oncology and patient care to the infusion center at the Barrow Neuroplex located on the campus of St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center. As a pharmacy technician you will be part of a growing program on the forefront of neuroscience and cancer treatment. We are looking for someone that is a great communicator, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to problem solve through critical thinking.
Pharmacy technicians work under the supervision of a pharmacist. They perform drug distribution activities including: servicing Omnicell machines and delivering medications to the clinics and infusion suite. They also perform sterile and non-sterile compounding of medications, including hazardous drugs, following USP <795> , USP <797> and USP <800> . Pharmacy technicians will be cross-trained to work in the areas of outpatient infusion and inpatient pharmacy.
Qualifications:REQUIREMENTS:
One year work experience in hospital or infusion pharmacy practice
Pharmacy Technician certification
Registered Pharmacy Technician in State of Arizona
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with handling and dispensing of parenteral chemotherapy
Experience with investigational protocols and medications
