Performance Marketing Specialist - Ascent Denver

Within our Ascent team located in Denver, Leprino is seeking a Performance Marketing Specialist to drive our organization to greater levels of growth and success! Ascent is a wholly owned subsidiary of Leprino Foods Company, the world’s largest producer of mozzarella cheese.

The Performance Marketing Specialist will be a full-time position reporting directly to the Performance Marketing Manager. This will be a key support role for growing Ascent’s eCommerce channels including direct-to-consumer, Amazon, and Retail.com with a specific focus in retention marketing for our DTC channel. This person will need to have a strong desire to grow their skillset in eCommerce and digital marketing with willingness to work with external stakeholders to complete projects, both small and large. Additionally, this person will be responsible for partnering cross-functionally with internal teams to include operations, sales, & customer experience.

At Leprino Foods starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $64,000 and $76,000 . This position has an annual target bonus of 5%.

Retention Marketing

• Support and gradually take ownership of Ascent’s email marketing channel
• Work with agency to provide feedback on email designs, campaign and flow strategies, as well as retention and loyalty efforts driven through email
• Assist in developing and executing promotional strategies that resonate with customers.
• Strengthen our loyalty and subscription programs to foster long-term relationships.

Direct-to Consumer (DTC)

• Work closely with agencies to optimize ad copy and creative for digital platforms.
• Assist in measurement and tracking of KPIs for paid media in conjunction with the Performance Marketing Manager
• Assist in ongoing web development and conversion rate optimization projects with agency
• Sit on weekly/biweekly calls with agency to support where needed

Reporting & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Update weekly eComm report to update business performance and financials. Communicate updates to necessary stakeholders.
• Enhance Ascent’s eCommerce reporting suite to provide increased visibility into business performance and KPIs
• Assist the CX and Ops team with pertinent issues that arise relating to orders, out-of-stock adjustments and subscriptions for both wholesale and consumer Shopify sites. Troubleshoot if able.
• Assist the wholesale team with any pertinent issues related to affiliate orders and marketing needs.

Amazon

• Review inventory amounts weekly to detect anomoloies in velocities (main focus on whey SKUs)
• Work with agency partner to protect brand listings from 3rd party resellers
• Review Amazon email inbox to monitor account health issues, listing issues, stranded inventory, unfulfillable inventory, etc

Retail.com

• Support miscellaneous needs as Ascent looks to grow on new eComm marketplace channels (e.g. Walmart.com)

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in digital marketing or eCommerce.
• Excellent problem solver with a passion for using data to form solutions.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• The ability to work a weekly 3/2 (office/home) hybrid schedule.

We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

• Basic understanding in measurement of KPIs on ad platforms like Meta, TikTok, and Google.
• ​Basic understanding of Shopify admin (products, orders, discounts, basic theme code.)
• ​Digital marketing experience in a related field (Agency, CPG, Nutrition, etc.)
• ​Experience working with external partners (either client or agency) and giving and/or receiving critical feedback.
• ​Passion for Sports Nutrition, Sports/Competition, and Fitness​.
