Vaco Boston has partnered with our client to help fill a Payroll Manager for our client in Boston, MA. 

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end biweekly payroll cycle—collecting time data, performing precise calculations, administering deductions
• Ensure regulatory compliance by staying current on federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and labor standards
• Conduct periodic audits to verify payroll accuracy
• Monitor employee onboarding and exits, collaborating closely with the Benefits Team and Office Managers to ensure payroll records reflect changes promptly
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree 
• Prior payroll experience
• Proficient with Workday
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
