Job Duties Responsible for the registration of all patients admitted to the facility with attainment of identifying biographical and legal information. Facilitates an efficient registration process while maintaining adherence to established hospital and departmental policy. Knowledgeable of state and federal laws regarding the legal status(es) of our patients, as well as maintaining accurate statistics within the patient information system. Maintain accurate patient photo, court docket, master patient index database.
This position will most likely work some holidays, and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications -Knowledge of the admissions process; rules and regulations for processing medical record and
medical terminology.
-Demonstrated knowledge of general office procedures, the ability to operate office machines
and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Proficiency in computer applications and data entry, and excellent verbal and written
communication skills.
Additional Considerations -Previous patient registration and Health Information Management (medical records) experience
-High School diploma or GED
-Ability to work and multi-task in stressful and at times unstable environment
-The successful candidate will have the ability to work with a variety of customers including
community members, patients, families, law enforcement, physicians, and facility staff.

These positions are hourly/wage and not eligible for benefits. Hourly (wage) employees may not work more than 29 hours a week and are limited to working 1500 hours in a year.
