Posit ion Title: Parts Counter Specialist Reports To: Parts Branch Manager Exempt/Non-exempt: Non-exempt Union (Y/N): No Location(s): Woburn, MA ******STARTING PAY $25.00- HIGHER STARTING PAY FOR MORE EXPERIENCE******* JOB SUMMARY Parts Specialists are responsible for researching, selling, procuring, upselling, and providing solutions for all parts related business while providing outstanding customer service. Specialists assist customers both in person and over the phone in several ways, but none more important than finding the correct parts for their needs. Following up with customers to ensure satisfaction while seeking future parts needs is essential.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Providing customer support regarding parts inquiry's & sales over the phone and in person.
- Research parts needed by Customer through manufacturers manuals and by outsourcing vendors.
- Ensure correct parts information before placing orders on behalf of customers to eliminate potential delays.
- Creating purchase orders for all customer parts sales.
- Processing parts orders through manufacturer portals.
- Follow up on customer quotes.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with products received.
- Demonstrate professional and helpful upselling techniques.
- Tracks outstanding / backordered parts for customer.
- Performs parts related admin tasks as directed by manager.
- Perform additional duties as required or requested, to achieve company goals set forth and increase productivity and efficiency within the company.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ATTRIBUTES - High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Heavy Equipment knowledge or parts Industry preferred.
- Good organizational and administrative skill set.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good Problem-Solving skills.
- Basic industrial parts and equipment knowledge.
- Professional telephone etiquette and communication skills.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office programs and basic navigating skills with the computer.
- Multi-tasking.
- Ability to work in an office and warehouse environment.
- Ability to work with long alpha-numeric numbers.
- Willing to work overtime when needed and as directed by manager.
- Pass a drug and background screening.
- Salary includes hourly pay plus quarterly commission and is commensurate with experience

WORKING CONDITIONS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand, and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to periodically lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in an office and warehouse environment.
