Essential Duties And Responsibilities Participates in resolving complaints alleging violations of the various privacy and civil rights laws for compliance with OCR policy and guidelines for case processing. Resolves complaints recommended for administrative, non-investigative closures using prewritten templates and established case resolution guidelines. Distinguishes between the different technical assistance letters and uses the most appropriate template; follows policy regarding consent from complainants; drafts case notes, closure letters, and other necessary documents with minimal to no typos or grammatical errors. Conducts routine office functions with minimal direction and has experience with a variety of computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to produce, track and manage multiple deliverables with overlapping deadlines in a high-performing environment. Education / Experience Minimum educational experience is an Associate's degree from an accredited college/university or experience equivalent to the GS-7 level or higher in the Federal Government. Physical Demands Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers, printers, and light traffic.
