The Black Futures Lab is a 501(c)3 that transforms Black communities into constituencies that wield independent, political power at the municipal, state, and federal levels. The problems Black communities face is complex; the solutions to those problems require imagination, experimentation, and political power. The Black Futures Lab combines strategies that help us imagine the alternatives we deserve while building political power at the local, state, and national levels to implement those alternatives.
The Black Futures Lab is hiring an Organizing Training Manager. This is a remote and shared position with Black Futures’ Lab sister organization Black to the Future Action Fund. The Organizing Training Manager is managed by the Field Director and works closely with all staff within the organization.
The Organizing Training Manager will develop training curricula, materials, and programming to help create a robust and innovative Black organizing ecosystem. They will manage and implement “train the trainers” and develop power-building programming for organizers, volunteers, and partners.
The Organizing Training Manager is responsible for helping the Field Department translate organizing strategies and tactics into training to ensure organizers have the materials they need to move volunteers up the BFL Leadership Ladder of Engagement and to help volunteers become effective leaders and storytellers in their local communities.
The Organizing Training Manager should be well-versed in the creation and implementation of multi-stage training curricula and programming within Black political spaces.
