Job Description
Responsibilities We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to lead a team of technicians responsible for the start-up and winterization, preventative and corrective maintenance, and upgrades and enhancements related to Client-managed irrigation systems.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in crew scheduling, procurement of materials, inventory management, and client partnership. During the winter months, the Operations Manager will support snow and ice management operations, ensuring our clients' sites are maintained safely and efficiently.
Guide and prioritize the work performed by Client irrigation technicians for system start-up, maintenance, and winterization
Serve as a technical resource and partner to both Client employees and clients
Recommend solutions to client challenges, such as water conservation efforts, plant and turf health, and site safety
Coordinate technician schedules, balancing unplanned work with seasonal deadlines
Leverage key technology solutions like CRM software, smart-controllers, and sustainable equipment to promote safety and efficiency in irrigation and winter operations
Develop an internal knowledge base, including site maps, access reminders, and site-specific notes
Build action plans and monitor progress to address client challenges, resolving issues that impact operational performance
Drive enhanced irrigation-related knowledge across the organization by promoting seminars, cross-departmental knowledge sharing, and industry training programs
Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new Client personnel
Partner with dealers and suppliers to procure the right materials at the right costs
Ensure operations comply with applicable state and federal laws

Qualifications Technical knowledge of irrigation systems, materials, and procedures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lead and motivate direct reports in a professional setting
Proven record of critical thinking, time management, and collaboration
Proficiency in landscape business management software
Established skills in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
