Shift hours - 11pm-7am
Job Summary
Supervises front desk operations during the 11pm - 7am shift. Will prepare daily report for the General Manager. Also will assist or perform general front desk duties.
Work Performed
1. Lock down hotel.
2. Check reservation system for lost messages or reservations.
3. Review all correction, phone, paid out, and laundry vouchers for correct posting.
4. Post room charges.
5. Post credit card charges.
6. Balance register readings with total charges for the day.
7. Run all management reports.
8. Assemble reports and file audit.
9. Perform the function of a Guest Service Representative/Agent ;
a. Greets the guest in a friendly and professional manner.
b. Performs check-in and check-out of guests.
c. Serves as an information agent for hotel guests and handles their needs or directs information to satisfy guests’ needs.
d. Posts payments, charges and credits.
e. Confirms, Changes, Cancels and makes reservations.
f. Deal efficiently with customer complaints.
g. Will be dressed in proper uniform.
h. Ensure good public relations.
i. Receives monies in payment for hotel services and posts the information.
j. Check the credit of guests.
k. Any other task assigned by General Manger
l. The physical appearance of the front desk, lobby & public areas are maintained and presented in a safe, secure, clean and attractive manner and are organized in a manner which allows for efficient operation.
m. Ensure that all policies, procedures, federal, state and local ordinances with regards to personnel, security, cash handling, guest relations and safety are complied with.
10. Prepare groups and transient arrivals that day by blocking rooms and special requests.
Qualifications
1. Good basic education with emphasis in accounting, bookkeeping and other forms of record keeping.
Pleasing personality with good attitude and good reasoning ability.
2. Clerical skills with some background in use of computers would be preferable.
3. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral and diagrammatic form.
4. May, on occasion, lift up to 50 pounds.
5. Must be able to reach, handle and feel.
6. Talking: must be able to express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
7. Hearing: Must be able to perceive the nature of sounds by the ear.
8. Seeing: Must have clarity of vision at 20 feet or more, must possess three-dimensional vision, and be able to identify and distinguish colors.
9. Works inside in a controlled climate.
10. Must be able to make arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages.
