Salary: $80,000 - $140,000 per year
A bit about us: We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and highly motivated Mining Engineer to join our fast-paced team. This role is open due to growth! This is an amazing organization and privately held company with strong sales orders locked in for multiple contracts over the foreseeable future! The ideal Mining Engineer has 3-5 years of experience and is looking to focus their experience in the field/operations side of the business. This position will be able to move into a Superintendent role! The company is looking for someone who wants to learn and grow in their career and who aspires to get into leadership down the line. Coal mining experience is a huge plus but not required. Drone surveying license is a huge plus but not required.
There is a lot of stability and growth with this organization!
60% of this role is in the field but all operations for the company are within 15 minutes of the office.

We are seeking a dynamic Mining Engineer to join our team in the Engineering industry. This is a unique opportunity for a professional with a strong background in mining operations, who is passionate about contributing to the success and growth of our company. As a Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing efficient mining systems while ensuring the safety and sustainability of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mining operations including drilling, blasting, digging, and surveying.
- Develop and implement short and long-range mining plans to ensure optimal production.
- Coordinate with the MSHA and PADEP to ensure all mining activities are in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Utilize your experience in coal mining, aggregate, and metal on metal to enhance our mining operations.
- Apply your knowledge of surface mining to design and implement efficient and sustainable mining systems.
- Utilize drone surveying techniques to conduct site surveys and monitor mining operations.
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the mining process.
- Continuously monitor and assess mining systems and operations to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Ensure all mining activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all company and industry safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the mining industry, preferably in a similar role.
- Proven experience with MSHA, PADEP, digging, surveying, operations, drilling, blasting, short range planning, long range planning, coal mining, aggregate, and metal on metal.
- Experience with surface mining is a must.
- Proficiency in using drone surveying techniques is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong commitment to safety and sustainable mining practices.
- Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
